Clinical Research Office

Clinical Research Internship

This is a year-long, full-time program ideal for new graduates with an interest in exploring and establishing a career in clinical research, healthcare, public health, or similar professions. Participants will work closely with physicians, investigators, study staff, and other partners throughout UF Health and the UF Health Cancer Center, gaining exposure to the clinical research process and valuable experience to take with them to future graduate or professional degree programs in preparation for their future careers.

J-1 GI Oncology Research Fellowship

This is a unique opportunity provided to J-1 eligible post-doctoral graduates with an interest in advancing their clinical and/or research careers in gastrointestinal oncology. These scholars will participate in the treatment and care of patients and work closely with the GI DSG leader and other physician faculty to gain experience and exposure to the clinical research process and gain valuable skills to aid them in their future careers in research and medicine.

Student Clinical Internship

This opportunity is available to active UF undergraduate and graduate students eligible for student employment. Federal Work Study eligible students are encouraged to participate and will be able to use their FWS awards as participants in this program. Our Student Clinical Internship allows students interested in future careers in medicine, research, or other related fields to work alongside our study coordinators with clinical data capture, data entry, and lab support to gain valuable experience while enriching their educational careers prior to graduation.

This is a paid opportunity available for actively enrolled students with an interest in the HR profession. Selected students will be provided with a comprehensive educational experience in a complex organization and learning the practice of HR under the guidance and mentorship of experienced HR professionals. Areas of focus include people operations (compliance, benefits, payroll) and talent management (recruitment, retention, engagement).

Talent Development Internship

This is a paid opportunity available for actively enrolled students with an interest in instructional design and training. Selected students will be provided with a comprehensive educational experience in a complex organization and learning the talent development discipline under the guidance and mentorship of experienced training and education professionals. Areas of focus will include course authoring/design and training program management.

Cancer Training & Education Program

Cancer Policy Internship

This internship provides the opportunity for UF graduate students to serve as an intern with the Federal Relations team in the University’s Washington, DC office. Interns will primarily focus on legislative support related to cancer health policy and cancer prevention and telehealth initiatives in rural communities and experience the inner workings of the US Government. These internships are an integral and important part of the team charged with proactively supporting the University of Florida’s agenda on a national level and ensuring UF is a leading expert voice on important issues.

Student Receptionist

This opportunity is available to active UF undergraduate and graduate students eligible for student employment. Federal Work Study eligible students are encouraged to participate and will be able to use their FWS awards as part of this opportunity. In this role, students will be afforded the opportunity to gain experience in a professional office environment while completing their studies and gain exposure to the unique inner-workings of an active academic health and research center.

Student Internship

This is a paid opportunity available for actively enrolled students and will support the collection and collation of current and former trainee and student data to establish an ongoing database to be used for the program. Schedules will be determined on the basis of student class schedules and availability.

Communications

Student Internship

This is a paid opportunity available for actively enrolled students and supports the ongoing communications activities of the UF Health Cancer Center. Interns will support the Center’s social media presence on behalf of our trainees, faculty, and staff and promote UFHCC programs, accomplishments, and events. Schedules will be determined on the basis of student class schedules and availability.
